Designer as an urban therapist  | Community project of belonging and memory in the urban space

The project addresses in exceptional urban space: Because of changes in the city plan geometric, or the demolition of an illegal structure or “white elephant” an abnormal areas are created . Inside the urban space and its edges. These abnormal areas stand without purpose and open to public  interpretation and a criminal elements takeover , usually these areas are left and neglected. This  abnormal area is harms the urban space sequence, hurting image of the city in the eyes of its residents.

The project offers an urban therapeutic method followed with a dialogue with the residents;

Transformation of the abnormal space and making it through a local treatment, appropriate aesthetic, cultural and community: visual rehabilitation produces a community meeting place, encouraging communication, belonging, neighborhood and cooperation.

The project is a prototype for abnormal areas in the city.
